Nothing else matters, dolcissima ballata dei nient'affatto romantici Metallica, band statunitense insieme dal 1981, vincitrice di nove Grammy Awards e nata come trash metal band, ma che, dopo pochi anni ha ammorbidito le proprie sonorità aprendosi ad un pubblico più vasto ed attualmente considerata una delle band di maggior successo nella storia del rock e dell'heavy metal.
Se li conosco e li apprezzo così tanto è soprattutto grazie a Fabio che posso definire (anche troppo sdolcinatamente) l'unico amore della mia vita e il protagonista del post di oggi.
Una delle prime canzoni che ricordo di aver apprezzato da subito dei Metallica è "The Memory Remains" dall'album ReLoad, 1997 nel lontano 2001, quando, molto lentamente, mi sono innamorata di Fabio, ancora al mio fianco dopo tanti anni, difficoltà, incomprensioni, ostacoli a cui oggi guardo con un sorriso e credo fermamente che ne sia valsa la pena se, alla fine, il risultato siamo NOI.
Potrei stare qui a parlarne per ore risultando troppo dolce e romantica, soprattutto postando questo brano in particolare e con testo annesso, ma col tempo scoprirete che romantica non lo sono affatto, anzi, spesso mi sorprendo piuttosto cinica e sono oltremodo fiera di essere pratica e realistica.
Se posto Nothing Else Matters è perchè vedo la nostra storia come se fosse fondata su ogni sua singola strofa, la sento mia, la sentiamo nostra.
